Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) is an internationally recognized qualification which enables successful candidates to work in institutions world-wide. It is awarded by the University of Cambridge and is a widely respected qualification.
CELTA is a course for teachers with no or little experience in teaching - however, even more experienced ones can benefit from it, since it's the perfect combination of theory (through input sessions) and practice (through teaching practice sessions and assignments).
Eligibility: CELTA trainees must be at least 20 years old and have a first degree. - Minimum of 120 hours of in-class instruction.
- Minimum of 6 hours of practice teaching with classes of foreign students.
