B.A in Mass Communication:

The Bachelor of Arts
degree in Mass Communication can be opted for with concentrations in Advertising, Communication Studies, International Communication, Journalism or Public Relations.
The program is an in-depth 3 year study wherein students get to learn about all the aspects involved in media and communications. This course prepares students for careers in Advertising, Journalism and Mass Communication. Students can apply this expertise to work in arenas such as newspaper offices, radio and television stations, the World Wide Web, public relations, photojournalism, media practitioners & research and publication design. Graduates of this program also have the opportunity to move into a variety of careers in the media field, including those in advertising, corporate communication, public relations, journalism, and broadcasting.
Students of this course will learn the basic skills required for planning, creating and implementing marketing communication activities. Students have the opportunity to pursue internships and independent projects that allow them to have real world experience in the mass media professions.

Eligibility:

A Standard XII or equivalent degree from any recognized School/College.

One must also possess Decision making abilities, organizational skills and an Ability to interact with and convince people; in the sense that one must be able build a good rapport with people who are an essential part of the network.

Computers, especially the advent of Internet has furthermore brought new and challenging opportunities in the Electronic Journalism sector.
